feature piece of the Women of Colour 2020 series

The first piece of the 2020 WOC collection explores what it means externally to be a women of colour today and the underlying issues of women who do and do not fit their cultures "typical look". A fair skinned Aboriginal. A red headed Indian. A blonde Māori. Feeling like you don’t fit in, in a physical sense, to the culture you so deeply connect to is something I have experienced personally and with this piece sought to show the diversity in even us, the most diverse ones.
